Favorites lets you keep track of all your favorite map locations and can be accessed from the main menu . You can also browse your Favorites by Type or by Group from the Groups & Filters screen.

You can press & hold on any item in the favorites lists to view it directly on the map. Viewing a Group on the map will temporally hide all other favorites and POI which are not in the group.

To save Pins and POI, just tap the Favorite button on the Info Panel for any item. Items can be removed by unstaring the item, swipe to delete, via Edit mode, or from the Info screen for the item. Routes are automatically saved in most situations. Tracks are also automatically saved once you beginning recording or add Waypoints.

You can create Pins to mark custom locations on the map. Press and hold on the map for about 1 second to mark the location. Then tap the Star button to save it to your Favorites list. Reposition the Pin by selecting it first, and then pressing on the Pin for about 1 second and dragging it to the desired location on the map (the map will automatically scroll if you drag it near the edge of the screen). The next time you are online, Pins will automatically fetch the closest street address and display it in the Info Panel and on the Info screen. The Info Screen shows you all information about the Pin in one place, and lets you edit the name, add notes, set the icon and color, assign it to groups and attach Photos. The notes field may include phone numbers and website URLs. Attached photos are not imported into Pocket Earth in order to save disk space, instead they are referenced from your Photo Library. Thus if you delete a photo in Photos app, it will be removed from the Pin its attached to in Pocket Earth.
